Great Devotion at 5:30 this morning

Zech 8:23

23 "This is what the Lord of Heaven's Armies says: In those days ten men from different nations and languages of the world will clutch at the sleeve of one Jew. And they will say, 'Please let us walk with you, for we have heard that God is with you.'
- You see up to this point in history the Jews were kind of the butt end of jokes for the surrounding neighbors and in this particular passage God was reveling to them that soon, if you do the things that I said (a few verse's above this) then people from around the world will becoming to you wanting to walk with you because they will know that I am with you.
Then I began asking myself a few questions:What am I doing (if anything)to ensure that when people see me or are in conversation with me to know that God is with me? Am I always putting God first? Am I doing everything in my power for people to see God through my words, my actions, even my thoughts? And if I'm honest with myself about these answer then "No" I'm not.
And so my prayer today is, Lord, help to do things and to fight for what's spiritual and fight what's easy in my life which is to give in so that when people see me or are in conversation with me - they will know that I am with you -

that's a pretty good challenge. To know that you can show God through all you do. It kinda goes along with one of my fav quotes. "When you meet someone they should see God in your face, your eyes and your smile." - Mother Teresa
